First, the wait staff of a restaurant can login to the app and register which tables they will be taking care of. They need to include their phone number which will serve as a Text/communication device between them and the customer. The customer upon arriving at their table will scan the QR code at the table where they are sitting. The QR code scan takes the customer to a traffic light type app as shown in figure 1. The difference between QR code at all tables is simply the table number. The customer, as an option can press either the red or yellow or green button and the wait staff Will receive this message along with which table the message is coming from. The red and yellow lights may be more for fun, but the green light is important because the wait staff can transmit the total back to the customer. Once receiving the total, a tip calculator will be optional, and the app will now take the customer into PayPal (they do not need to have a PayPal account) and now can make a safe, secure payment directly to the restaurant.
The "pay at the table" model may take the restaurant business by storm:
1.Besides the obvious safety of Contactless ordering, consumers are increasingly reluctant to give the waitstaff their credit card any longer in fear of it being photographed and stolen, which is quite common.
